We are seeking an experienced analytical chemist to design and implement high-throughput fractionation, GC, HPLC, coupled with MS analyses to support the metabolic engineering and oil recovery programs.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

·        Advanced degree in Analytical Chemistry/Chemistry/Biochemistry or a related discipline, and 3 or more years of industrial (or equivalent postdoctoral) experience using modern separations and MS equipment (GC/MS, LC/MS). Experience with developing high throughput formats is highly desired.

·        Experience maintaining and troubleshooting HPLC, GC, GC/MS, and LC/MS instrumentation.

·        Strong, hands-on wet chemistry or natural products chemistry skills and sample preparation knowledge, including extractions

·        Analytical computation, statistical analysis, laboratory record-keeping, and data presentation are required.

·        Basic understanding of molecular biology and biochemistry concepts.

·        Due to the highly collaborative nature of this position, interpersonal and communications skills, as well as proficiaency in writing and oral presentations will be extremely important.
